The BlueBiz program is implemented by TechnoServe in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation. The program will support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the blue economy sector in Kenya’s coastal counties to build resilience for the future. The BlueBiz Program aims to establish pathways to dignified and fulfilling work for young women and men in Kenya’s coastal communities by harnessing the potential of the Blue Economy.

The program will provide technical assistance, training, and access to finance to MSMEs in the fisheries (seaweed farming) and resource management (recycling and waste management). By strengthening the capacity of MSMEs to adapt to changing market conditions and adopt sustainable practices, the program will contribute to the long-term growth and development of the SME sector in Kenya.
